Incentivized in restoring the ancient “silk road”- a historical trade route dated from 2nd century B.C. originated in Xi’an, China and stretched through West Asia, Europe, and Africa, the Chinese government has implemented the One Belt One Road or the Best Road Initiative (BRI) in 2013.
Such ambitious project contains two parts of which one focuses on overland connections also known as the “Silk Road Economic Belt”; on the other hand, the project engaged multiple sea-based shipping lanes referred to as the “21st Century Maritime Silk Road”. Together, the BRI involves over 70 countries, more than 60 percent of the total population, roughly 30 percent of the global GDP, and multibillion-euro investment and trade opportunities.
In November 2018, an agreement addressing the Belt Road Initiative has been signed between China and Malta. As one of the first European countries who officially signed such agreement with China, Malta is actively participating in international projects, investment opportunities in social, financial, infrastructural, intellectual, technological, environmental, and many other sectors with Chinese government and corporations. As one of the leading International Immigration companies in Malta, Integritas has also responded to such call by providing various high-quality investment, corporate and immigration services and opportunities globally.
